Severe winter weather that hit shamrock farms hard, and a high demand for the plant for St. Patrick’s Day may spell trouble for people in Ireland facing a shamrock shortage this March, Irishcentral.com reported Wednesday. 

Shamrocks “won’t be easily found” this week as the national plant is in short supply due to dwindling numbers and severe damage from winter frost, botanist Dr. Declan Doogue told Irishcentral.com. 

March 12, 2010 – Yet ANOTHER IPCC Scam from ncpa.org and UKRegister.com 

A new study, funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) refutes a claim in the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2007 report that up to 40 percent of the Amazon rainforest might disappear imminently.  According to the IPCC’s assessment, this disaster would be triggered by a relatively slight drop in rainfall of the sort to be expected in a warming world.  It now appears that just such conditions have already occurred, and in fact, the Amazonian jungles were unaffected, says Gerald Warner, a columnist with the Telegraph.  

That assertion has already been exposed as derived from a single report by the environmentalist lobby group WWF. [Non-peer reviewed WWF Report PDF View Download HERE]  According to Dr. Jose Marengo, a climate scientist with the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research and also a member of the IPCC:  

• The way the WWF report calculated this 40 percent was totally wrong, while the new calculations are by far more reliable and correct.
• These calculations were done by researchers at Boston University and were published in the scientific journal Geophysical Research Letters.
• They used satellite data to study the drought of 2005, when rainfall fell to the lowest in living memory, and found that the rainforest suffered no significant effects.

Feb 13, 2010 – Full BBC Interview with Phil Jones (friendly turf, no doubt) still turns up some strong admissions: 

Q – Do you agree that from 1995 to the present there has been no statistically-significant global warmingA – “Yes, but only just.” 

Q – [paraphrased] Is the Medieval Warming Period settled science?  [Answer paraphrased - NOT!  ] 

A – “Of course, if the MWP was shown to be global in extent and as warm or warmer than today (based on an equivalent coverage over the NH and SH) then obviously the late-20th century warmth would not be unprecedented. On the other hand, if the MWP was global, but was less warm that today, then current warmth would be unprecedented.”

Jan 27, 2010 – Canadian Andrew Weaver of the University of Victoria joins Dr. John Christy on the “honest” side of the story. Sure, they both still consider Global Warming to be real, but if their ethics prevail, soon they will join the clearer thinking among us in attributing late 20th Century warming correctly to the departure of the Little Ice Age. 

Mr. Weaver said Tuesday, “Some might argue we need a change in some of the upper leadership of the IPCC, who are perceived as becoming advocates,” he said. “I think that is a very legitimate question.”

Jan 26, 2010 – Honest climatologist Christy exposes inside of UN IPCC scam 

“I was at the table with three Europeans, and we were having lunch. And they were talking about their role as lead authors. And they were talking about how they were trying to make the report so dramatic that the United States would just have to sign that Kyoto Protocol,” Dr. John Christy told CNN on May 2, 2007.

Back to the ClimateGators…  We welcome Dr. Jim Salinger for his persistantly unexplained serial manipulation of New Zealand climate data records.  This shows a marked increase over the last century, whereas the truth is there has been little to no change at all.  See details here.  It was proclaimed very loudly anew this week in European Parliament by Godfrey Bloom – watch great, short video..  “Hear, hear, my good man!”

The key quote is, “This… can happen anywhere in the Caribbean”.., “because of global warming, because of climate change…when we did what we did at the Climate Summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens.”  Yeah, right.  Mother Earth getting revenge?  Sure, Danny… 

THEN THIS – Your Tax Dollars at work – Half a $Million to discredited “scientist” Michael Mann!  OMG, can you believe this? See great article at biggovernment .com. 

To quote Mr. Flynn, “Mann’s “research” will presumably be used to further justify cap-and-trade legislation or other draconian regulatory actions. Either of these will have a very negative impact on the economy, retarding growth for years to come.”

I say we make a big ruckus over this in particular, and get that grant money returned.  No payoffs to fruad scientists!!! 

Reported January 9, 2010 – In an interview with the Philedelphia Inquirer, Mann has this to say of the Climategate Whistle-blower and blogs (like this one) – “They’ve sunk to a new low,” Mann said of the e-mails. “This shows they’ve given up legitimate debate.”  Well, let’s parse THAT one, Mr. Mann:

• How much legitimate debate has been afforded by the Global Warming estabalishment?  Al Gore repeatedly refuses debates.  East Anglia’s CRU scientists repeatedly rejected FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests for information.  You yourself, Dr. Mann, as late as 2005 refused to provide all but scant little information to valid requests. (He finally acquiesced, at which time it became provable that “the mathematical technique used to draw the graph is prone to generating hockey stick-like graphs even when applied to random data.”)  See Kyoto Count-up.

Dr. Michael Mann of the Penn State is famous (with Malcolm Hughes and Raymond Bradley) for the 1998 and 1999 articles proposing the “hockey stick” graph and its (supposedly) rapid increase in global temperatures since 1900.  He is also  the auspicious subject of a great MUSIC VIDEO, “Hide the Decline”. Al Gore stands to profit immensely from Cap and Trade – don’t believe for a minute that he won’t, no matter how he configures it. (Video below)
