This rapid response to parental concern came just one day after the first parent, Mrs. Lynn Todd of Rochester Hills telephoned Mr. Pruneau to register her complaint.
“I’m so thrilled,” said Mrs. Todd, “that making my complaint really worked! I don’t trust any politician to have my child’s interests at heart, any more than I trust them to run our country according to my value system. The risk of my child being asked to sing songs, recite slogans or even just give his full attention to a man with whom I share so few of my values, is abhorrent. It really works to get involved!”
In his note, Superintendent Pruneau urges parents to instruct their children on expected positives of President Obama’s talk – hard study, learn much and well, etc.
Mrs. Todd encourages anyone else who is faced with this great concern to take similar action. “It really works!”

Perhaps we can also agree that the moral of the story is familiar; democratic discussion is difficult. Indeed it is, in many forums.

The author of 2010vision.org has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: There’s no panic like the panic you momentarily feel when you’ve got your hand or head stuck in something. Thanks for the info.
